The Health Libraries Association of British Columbia (HLABC) is looking for a web developer to perform a one-time update to our association’s website: https://hlabc.chla-absc.ca/. HLABC supports the health library workers of BC with continuing education and social opportunities while promoting cooperation, communication, and mutual assistance between health libraries and health library staff.
This project has an estimated 20 hours of total work, with the possibility of being extended to 30 hours of work if needed. The desired project outcomes are as follows:
- Check all links; replace or remove broken ones.
- Revise, refresh, and create content in collaboration with the HLABC Executive Team for several site pages.
- Ensure that website style is consistent and complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently to change, create, and remove sections of a WordPress site. A list of site pages to update will be provided by the Project Supervisor.
The pay for this position will be $25/hour. The deadline for project completion is January 14, 2022. The successful candidate must have access to their own computer for this project, and will be responsible for tracking their time.
