Eleri Staiger-Williams (she/her/hers)

Eleri Staiger-Williams has been involved with HLABC since she was a MLIS student and enjoys working with the great group of people who make up the HLABC board! She is a librarian for the Health and Human Services Library at the BC Ministry of Health. In her spare time, she likes to be outside or hanging out with her animals. She can always be contacted at

Pamela Harrison (she/her/hers)

As a Health Literacy Information Specialist at BC Children’s Hospital & BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, Pamela Harrison oversees the patient and family library. She also consults on plain language and accessibility for content produced hospital teams. In her spare time, Pam enjoys fishing her daughter out of muddy puddles, and yoga (child’s pose in particular).

Edlyn Lim (she/her/hers)

Edlyn Lim is a MLIS graduate of the University of British Columbia’s School of Information. She is a Research Librarian at the BC Children’s Hospital where she provides support for knowledge synthesis projects such as systematic and scoping reviews. She enjoys travelling, trying new teas, and reading books.

Saeyong Kim (she/her/hers)

Saeyong Kim is a Korean Studies/Medical Librarian at the University of British Columbia.

Chantal Lyons-Stevenson (she/her/hers)

Chantal Lyons-Stevenson is a Librarian at Harper Grey LLP, a Vancouver-based law firm. She provides current awareness and reference services to the firm’s lawyers and students, with a focus on supporting the Health Law practice group. Chantal holds a BA (English Literature, 19th Century Studies) and MLIS from the University of British Columbia. She enjoys ballet classes and crochet in her spare time.

Shannon Cheng (she/her/hers)

Shannon Cheng is currently working as a Reference Librarian at BC Cancer – Vancouver, where she supports clinicians, researchers, administrative staff, and patients in finding health information. Most importantly, Shannon is obsessed with her pets: a sociable cat, and an anxious dog. Both are ruffly the same size (10-15lbs) and colour (cream), purely by coincidence. Continuing Education & Programming Director
Monique Grenier (she/her/hers)

Monique Grenier works for the University of Victoria as the interim Data Curation Librarian with subject responsibilities in Mathematics/Statistics and Chemistry. As an early career librarian, Monique is especially interested in diversifying her portfolio and welcomes new educational and professional opportunities. Communications Director
Prubjot Gill (she/her/hers)

Prubjot Gill is a 2020 MLIS graduate who has worked in academic, special, and public library settings. She is currently a Reference Librarian at UBC Woodward library, where she provides subject liaison services for paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, midwifery, medical genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry, and also serves as the UBC liaison for BC Children’s and Women’s Hospitals. When not working, Prubjot enjoys baking, spending time with friends and family, and pausing to smell the flowers.

Mya Ballin (she/her/hers)

Mya Ballin is a MASLIS student at the University of British Columbia’s School of Information, located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people. She is excited to be acting as a student representative for HLABC this year and getting to connect with other students who are passionate about systematic searching, indexing, and the development and honing of outreach and KT strategies that respect and prioritize the agency, needs, and ways of knowing of marginalized communities.
