UBC iSchool Co-op Program: Summer Funding for Student Hiring

Access funding to hire a summer co-op student from UBC’s iSchool.

It’s a great time to recruit from us, as you may qualify for funding to hire a summer student – read below.

Students learning the latest in library, information management, and archival fields can be an ideal fit for that special project or short-term vacancy you’ve been looking to fill. The UBC Arts Co-op Program offers some of the brightest students for 4 or 8-month paid, full-time work terms from the iSchool@UBC, more formally known as the School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies (SLAIS).

Canada Summer Jobs provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create high-quality summer job opportunities for students between the ages of 15 and 30.

  4. Make an offer: Select a candidate and we’ll assist with making the offer.

To assist you throughout the hiring process, we can help you draft job descriptions, determine salary, coordinate interviews, and make offers. We’ll also monitor student success during the co-op term.

UBC iSchool (SLAIS) Co-op Students Available for Fall or Winter Work Terms

Students from the UBC iSchool (School of Library, Archival and Information Studies) are still available for Fall co-op work terms (September-December). We’re also starting to post positions for the Winter term (January-April), and some of our students are available for full-time or part-time 8 month work terms spanning September-April.
