Join us on Friday February 22nd for workshops on using the PRESS Checklist to peer-review search strategies, search filers, patient-orientated research and talks from HLABC members and SLAIS Students on “that changed my practice.” HLABC is an organization dedicated to supporting health libraries, their staff, and anyone interested in the search and discovery of health information. Don’t forget, you must be a current HLABC member to register!

9:30am-11am: PRESS and PRESSforum: Peer Review of Electronic Search Strategies – presented by Douglas M. Salzwedel, MLIS, Information Specialist & Assistant Managing Editor Cochrane Hypertension

11am-11:15am: BREAK

11:15am-12:15pm: “The Value of Participant Engagement in Research” by Linda Warner, Clinical Research Coordinator for the CHILD Study and Maureen Mooney, Research Nurse for CHILD Study

12:15pm-1:15pm: Lunch – delicious Syrian cuisine (back by popular demand)

1:15pm-2:15pm: Validation of several filters for retrieval of two types of study designs: “overviews of systematic reviews” and clinical practice guidelines – Carole Lunny, MPH, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow, Methodology and Research Synthesis, Cochrane Hypertension Group and the Therapeutics Initiative

2:15pm-2:30pm: BREAK

2:30pm-3:30pm: iSchool Students from LIBR534 and HLABC members “This Changed my Practice”

3:30pm –> social gathering
